The IFOREC, it is

10 years of experiment

The institute was founded in 1993 per Michel Garcia d.o., current director. It proposes distinct trainings in Osteopathy equine and canine.


The IFOREC, it is 

Five sites of teaching :

  • in PARIS , the College Ostéopathique Sutherland
  • in SISTERON (Alpes de Haute Provence - France)
  • In BRUSSELS (B)
  • in LIEGE (B) for the canine formation
  • in QUEBEC (since 2004)

a new training in canine osteopathy is under development in the south of France.

The IFOREC, it is

A team of experienced teachers made up of   

  • 6 Osteopaths D.O.
  • 4 Doctor-Veterinary surgeons
  • 2 Marshal-shoeing
  • 2 equine Dentists     
  • Various speakers  

The IFOREC, it is

Graduate Masseur-kinesitherapist of State in 1968
, it follows,à to start from 1974   a solid training in Osteopathy within the IWGS (Institute William Garner Sutherland), become the COS (College Ostéopathique Sutherland)

Certified in Osteopathy (C.O.) in 1980.

Graduate in Osteopathy (D.O.) in 1985, after defence of a thesis, in Paris, in front of a jury internationnal.

Old rider , impassioned by the mechanics of the horse, its meeting with some " pioneers " of equine osteopathy and its curiosity    will make   the remainder.

It melts, in 1993, the IFOREQ, the first   grinding of the current IFOREC.

Principal teacher with the IFOREC , it is also part-time lecturer in the United Kingdom.

Its   knowledge of the anatomy, the physio- pathology and biomechanics of the horse, associated an experiment palpatoire refined during more than 20 years allowed   the analysis and the osteopathic resolution of many   mechanical or functional problems.

Burning defender of Osteopathy, it locates however his action within a looking after team, in close cooperation with the Veterinary surgeon, the shoeing Marshal, the equine Dentist and the trainer.
