Admission requirements  

The trainings in equine and canine osteopathy, jusqu’reserved to the only Osteopaths here, are from now on accessible, under certain conditions, with the Veterinary surgeons and the Kinesitherapists.
Those will have indeed to follow a preparatory cycle D’initiation has L’osteopathy before being able to integrate the normal course.
Duration of the preparatory cycle : 2 2 days seminars.

ACCESSION WITH THE NORMAL COURSE

Osteopaths : directly.
Veterinary surgeons and Kinesitherapists : after the preparatory cycle.

FORMATION

Ensured by an experienced team:

  • 6 Osteopaths D.O. specialized in equine osteopathy and/or canine
  • 4 Veterinary surgeons
  • 2 shoeing – Marshals
  • 2 equine Dentists
  • Various speakers (Stretching, Shiatsu, Homeopathy, etc … )

PROGRAM

Fundamental matters:

  • Structural and visceral anatomy
  • Articular, muscular and visceral physiology
  • Topographic neurology and neurophysiology
  • Pathology

Morphology and Palpation:

  • Osseous, muscular and articular reference marks anatomical
  • Seek palpatoire lesion
  • Articular and muscular evaluation

Biomechanics:

  • Normal and pathological operation
  • Study of statics and the movement
  • Muscular chains
  • Vertébro-visceral relations

Osteopathy:

  • Protocol D’examination (static, dynamic and palpatoire)
  • Localization of (of) the lesion
  • Osteopathic correction
  • Techniques of correction: structural, functional, reflexes, myotensives, recoïls, etc…

Readjustment and councils:

  • The councils are adapted to the mechanical problems of the horse or the dog
  • The readjustment is a fundamental stage which relates to especially the horse: it S’primarily addresses to the continuations old problems or chronicles after treatment osteopathic in order to consolidate this one and D’to avoid the relapses.

Equine osteopathy

12 2 days Seminars , in weekend, Saturday and Sunday.

Rate/rhythm:
The seminars are spaced approximately 2 months, in order to make it possible to the students to familiarize itself with the new approaches.

Teaching:
The theoretical and practical courses are harmoniously distributed with each seminar authorizing an immediate application of the taught techniques.

Canine osteopathy

6 2 days Seminars

Rate/rhythm:
A seminar every 2 months.

Teaching:
Equalize distribution between theory and practical.
